The Italian Villa in Poole! First day back at work – March wedding
What a Venue!
Yes! What a venue ! I am here today with my feet up having a well earned cup of tea at half time and I have to blog as to how fabulous this venue is.
The staff cannot do enough for you and are organised and respectful (yes, some are not) but Drew, who took care of me, was wonderful and kind and resourceful.
I was slightly dreading coming back to work after a winter spent eating Yorkshire pudding and toad in the hole and staring at my kids. Four months off!
But this venue saved the day. This venue has the most beautiful gardens. It’s a bit strange when you arrive as it’s set in a garden centre called Compton Acres. But behind the large wooden gates lies an Italian magical villa, complete with Steps down to a large long pond and water fountain … it has a cave which they set up fairy lights in and two gardens behind … one with rock gardens and another Chinese garden! Compete with stepping stone.
It was supposed to chuck it down AND SNOW! It’s a little nippy today but for this lovely couple, Timmy and Lucy and their little girls, Edie and Lily, the sun shone. It was the type of day that most guests stood with their faces into the sun gratefully soaking up the rays while congratulating the couple.
Beautiful venue and cute cute kids … wonderful light … I’m excited to edit this wedding. My feet are killing me and I’ve got an hours drive home, but for the first wedding of the year, this was up there.
A few shots here ! They won venue of the year for Dorset I believe. Here’s s link to their website The Italian Villa … fabulous work !
