Ali & Ian

Ali is a professional Wedding Photographer in Chichester where I live with my husband, Brendan and two girls.  I work throughout the whole of Sussex, Surrey and Hampshire and have photographed over 400 weddings.  This website has many galleries from wedding venues in West Sussex and wedding venues in Chichester.  If you would like to see a recent full gallery of a wedding, please just email and ask.

Ian lives in Romsey with his partner and runs his own Property Photography Agency. He also dabbles in Sport Photography and you may find him through the Winter months photographing hundreds of runners along the Southsea Promenade. Ian has two children and 3 grandchildren. 

Qualifications

Ali graduated in 1991 from Antonelli Institute in Philadelphia with a Photography Diploma (2 yr).  She also graduated with a 4 year degree in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.  Arriving back in England in 2000, Ali settled in Chichester.  This mixing of American and English makes her sounds “a bit Australian” apparently.

In 2000, Ian started work with the Kodak Elegante Weddings organisation and remained with them for 2 years. In 2003, he started work with a Waterlooville photographer called John Abbott before setting up alone in 2006 in Portsmouth. Ian has covered over 500 weddings since that very first wedding and each and every one is exciting and new.

About Our Style

Natural, romantic style of photography

Between us, we produce some of the most stunning, natural photography you will see.  Ali is more outgoing and takes care of organising the crowds. She is calm at a wedding and is very organised.  Her style is feminine and natural with sprinkling of glamour.  Ian is more in the shadows taking shots of those special moments. He photographs from a different angle, whether it be from the back of a church or the back of the confetti line. His style is unobtrusive and creative.

We are preferred suppliers at Southend Barns, The Tithe Barn, The Walled Garden, Southdowns Manor, and Crouchers.

How do we work during a wedding?

Ali tends to organise and shoots from the front. Ian melds into the background.  We have worked together on over 100 weddings and have 40 years experience between us.  We are quietly confident creating a story between us of your day.  This story will be filled with action, romantic, sweet, quiet moments of your day, some of which you will have seen and some of which you will not.

Most importantly, we do not mess with the flow of the day.  We do not get involved too much.  You won’t find us socialising with the bride or taking up any of their valuable time. 

Ian will meet the groom or go and photograph guests arriving and Ali will go to the brides prep and photograph quietly the morning preparations.
