The Walled Garden Cowdray
Weddings at The Walled Garden at Cowdray
Weddings at The Walled Garden at Cowdray are always magical. The Walled Gardens are located in Midhurst, West Sussex, is an historic Grade l listed site.
Inside Wedding Ceremony Room
It has two beautiful function rooms offering superb elegance by day that are transformed into a magical setting at night.
I love this venue not only because it is 5 minutes from me but it has just about everything a couple would need for a wedding venue. The gardens are so well kept.
Cowdray Ruins Wedding Photography
Alongside the venue is an award winning garden set in the magnificent grounds of Cowdray Park adjacent to The Cowdray Ruins. It is a truly romantic venue for weddings, based on the walled gardens with lots of different hedges and high walls for more intimate shots. If you do book The Walled Gardens at Cowdray for your wedding venue then make sure you also book the Cowdray Ruins as well. This is the place to get those lovely bride & groom photos with the backdrop of the ruins. If you have booked the ruins as well then you are allowed in to the ruins. There are so many lovely spots inside for photos, as well as on the outskirts of the ruins. It is where I usually shoot the sunset shots, which are easy and grand against the castle.
Outside Garden Wedding Venue
There is also the option of getting married outside within the Walled Gardens. An area down by the wooden door, wherein you can set up chairs. A beautiful pond is in the middle. The bride has a long walk with her father to reach everyone. This gives all the guests a long time to see the beautiful bride, her bouquet and her bridesmaids as they walk down to the altar. The altar is underneath an overhang of flowers, sometimes decorated by your florist?
